An eyewitness from the village said that a boy saved two people. He again went into the river to save other people, but drowned himself due to the strong current. There were 9th and 10th grade children on the boat who were going to school. Some village people were also on the boat with the children. We were going to do some work and get some things.
DM Pranav Kumar said that all the teams are engaged in the rescue. It is difficult to tell how many people have drowned. 14 to 15 people have come out. Our first priority is to evacuate people safely. DSP East Shahryar said that the incident is being investigated. Information about the incident is also being taken from people. It is not clear how many children and people were on the boat. The boat was being made to cross with the help of a rope. That rope had broken, due to which the accident occurred.
