Mumbai, 31 August : Even before the start of the meeting of India Aghadi in Mumbai metropolis, banners with the photo of Shiv Sena chief late Balasaheb had been put up in the metropolis. It is written on these banners that I will not allow Shiv Sena to become president at any cost. Discussion is going on in the city regarding this banner.
Who has put up these banners in the city? It could not be known. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena leader Deepak Kesarkar did not take responsibility for the banners but told reporters that Uddhav Thackeray, in his greed for power, had forgotten late Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray. Kesar said that Balasaheb Thackeray had criticised Jammu and Kashmir leader Farooq Abdullah. Uddhav Thackeray is meeting with the same Farooq Abdullah today. Similarly, Balasaheb Thackeray reprimanded the Congress leader for speaking derogatoryly about Veer Savarkar. Uddhav Thackeray is hosting the leaders of the same Congress.
Shinde group spokesperson Naresh Kesarkar said that Uddhav Thackeray has become so helpless that he has given up on the thoughts of Balasaheb Thackeray. Naresh said that Balasaheb Thackeray had given the slogan of Hindutva, whereas Uddhav Thackeray has given up on Hindutva itself.
