New Delhi, 6 September (HS): Senior Congress leader and MP Sonia Gandhi has written a letter to Prime Minister Modi demanding that basic issues related to the public be discussed in the special session of Parliament.
Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday wrote a letter to Prime Minister Modi demanding discussion on nine issues. In a letter written to the Prime Minister, Sonia Gandhi has also raised questions about calling a special session of Parliament. He said that the government did not discuss with the opposition the special session of Parliament called for September 18, nor did it share the topics of discussion during the session. The government should explain why it is calling the special session and what its agenda is.
Sonia Gandhi said that we definitely want to participate in the special session because it will give us an opportunity to raise public issues. Sonia Gandhi said that she sincerely hopes that during the session the current economic situation will be discussed with a focus on rising prices of essential commodities, rising unemployment, increasing inequalities, and the crisis of MSMEs.
Sonia Gandhi said she wants other issues related to farmers, including the minimum support price, the Adani issue, Manipur violence, and an increase in communal tension in various states like Haryana, the India-China border issue, urgent needs of the caste census, center-state issues, including the damage being caused to relations and the impact of natural disasters due to excessive floods in some states and drought in others, etc., to be discussed in the House.
