Wellington, 14 Aug : All the restrictions imposed during the Covid-19 pandemic in New Zealand will be withdrawn from August 15 at midnight. The restrictions are being withdrawn after more than three years.
Health Minister Ayesha Verrall made announced on Monday that people will not be required to use face masks or remain in isolation for seven days after infection. The cabinet has agreed to lift the restrictions as the number of cases has reduced drastically compared to the last year.
According to the media reports Prime Minister Chris Hipkins had mentioned during the weekly media briefing that the end of the restrictions will prove to be crossing a milestone.
