Crude oil prices continue to fluctuate in the international market. The price of Brent Crude is trending close to $81 per barrel and WTI Crude is trending near $74 per barrel with a slight increase. Crude oil price was around $85 last week. However, the oil and gas marketing companies have not made any change in the prices of petrol and diesel in the domestic market.

According to the website of Indian Oil, the price of petrol remained at ₹96.72 and diesel at ₹89.62 per liter in the capital Delhi on Monday. Petrol is available at ₹106.31 and diesel at ₹94.27 per liter in Mumbai. At the same time, petrol is being sold at ₹106.03 and diesel at ₹92.76 per liter in Kolkata, while petrol is being sold at ₹102.63 and diesel at ₹94.24 per liter in Chennai.

In the international market, on the first day of the week, Brent crude is trending up by $ 0.19, or 0.24 percent, near $ 80.13 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude also jumped by $ 0.11, or 0.15 percent, to $ 73.50 per barrel. Trading close to the barrel.

It may be noted that the last change in the price of petrol and diesel in the country was in May, 2022. At that time the government had reduced the excise duty on petrol by ₹8 and on diesel by ₹6 per litre.
