Gautam Buddh Nagar, December 24, 2026:
A crucial meeting of the District Industry Bandhu Committee and District MIU was held under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate at the Collectorate auditorium, focusing on improving the industrial environment and ensuring timely resolution of entrepreneurs’ concerns. The meeting brought together officials from multiple departments and representatives of major industrial and business associations across the district to review infrastructure, civic services, and regulatory challenges affecting industrial operations.
During the meeting, the District Magistrate emphasized the administration’s commitment to strengthening the industrial ecosystem in Gautam Buddh Nagar, which includes Noida, Greater Noida, and the Yamuna Expressway region. The objective was to make the industrial environment more accessible, secure, and efficient, while ensuring that entrepreneurs’ grievances are addressed promptly and effectively. Officials reviewed ongoing issues affecting industrial areas and discussed coordinated measures to improve services, infrastructure, and regulatory responsiveness.
While chairing the session, the District Magistrate expressed strong displeasure over the absence of Work Circle ACEOs and OSDs from the Noida, Greater Noida, and Yamuna authorities. The absence of these key officials was viewed seriously, given the importance of their roles in addressing industrial infrastructure and administrative concerns. The District Magistrate directed that formal correspondence be initiated with the concerned authorities and instructed them to submit a detailed explanation within one week. The administration intends to inform the state government about the matter to ensure accountability and prevent similar lapses in future meetings.

The District Magistrate also issued clear instructions to all concerned authorities and district-level officials to ensure that issues submitted by entrepreneurs are resolved in advance of review meetings. Officials were directed to provide detailed status reports at least one week prior to scheduled meetings so that discussions can focus on progress, outcomes, and pending challenges. This approach is expected to make review meetings more effective, result-oriented, and responsive to industrial stakeholders’ needs.
Entrepreneur representatives present at the meeting raised several pressing issues affecting industrial and commercial areas. Key concerns included illegal encroachment in market zones, frequent traffic congestion, improper waste disposal, inadequate parking facilities, damaged roads, non-functional or insufficient street lighting, waterlogging during certain periods, GST-related procedural complexities, and irregular water supply. Representatives also highlighted local infrastructure and civic challenges in major market areas across Noida, Greater Noida, and the Yamuna Expressway region, emphasizing that these issues directly impact business operations, logistics efficiency, and employee safety.
The District Magistrate listened carefully to the concerns raised by industrial stakeholders and assured them that the administration would take coordinated action. Officials from relevant departments were instructed to ensure that business activities are not disrupted due to administrative or infrastructure-related shortcomings. Authorities responsible for industrial areas and local bodies were directed to launch special enforcement drives to remove illegal encroachments in market and industrial zones. The District Magistrate also instructed officials to impose penalties wherever necessary to deter violations and maintain order in commercial areas.

The police department was directed to strengthen traffic management in industrial and market areas, especially during peak hours. Additional police personnel may be deployed in congestion-prone zones to ensure smooth vehicular movement and improve safety for workers, business owners, and the general public. Improved traffic regulation is expected to facilitate efficient transportation of goods and reduce logistical delays for industries operating in the district.
Addressing the issue of waste management, the District Magistrate instructed officials from Noida and Greater Noida authorities to provide area-wise lists of sanitation workers assigned to industrial and market zones. Authorities were directed to closely monitor sanitation staff attendance and performance and to initiate disciplinary action against personnel found repeatedly absent from duty. The administration also emphasized the need for transparency and accountability in waste disposal systems.
Officials were instructed to publicly display information in designated waste disposal areas, including details of the responsible sanitation worker, assigned vehicle, and contact numbers of vehicle drivers and supervisors. This measure is intended to enable entrepreneurs and residents to directly report delays or lapses in waste collection, allowing authorities to respond quickly and resolve sanitation issues efficiently.
The District Magistrate also highlighted the importance of adequate public sanitation facilities in industrial areas, particularly for women entrepreneurs and employees. Authorities were directed to ensure proper maintenance of existing toilets and to construct additional facilities wherever required. All public and community toilets in industrial zones must remain operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to ensure accessibility and hygiene for workers and visitors. The administration emphasized that maintaining clean and functional sanitation infrastructure is essential for creating a safe, inclusive, and productive industrial environment.
The meeting was conducted by Deputy Commissioner Industries Pankaj Nirwan. Among those present were ACEO Greater Noida Authority Shrilaxmi VS, OSD Yamuna Development Authority Shiv Avtar Singh, Regional Officer of the Pollution Control Board Noida Ritesh Kumar, SM Greater Noida Chet Ram Singh, and officials from the police department, Noida Authority, and other concerned departments.
The district administration reiterated its commitment to improving industrial infrastructure, ensuring administrative accountability, and resolving entrepreneurs’ concerns through coordinated governance and regular monitoring.
