Atlanta, 25 Aug : Former President of the US Donald Trump was formally arrested on Thursday by Fulton County Jail in Georgia. Within 20 minutes, he was released on a bond of $200,000.
Immediately after his release Trump left for the airport to proceed to New Jersey. Trump was booked for his efforts to revert Georgia 2020 election results, including racketeering, conspiracy, instigating violence, etc.
The media has widely discussed the proceedings after Trump surrendered in Georgia. The authorities took a mug shot and recorded that Trump’s height – 6 feet 3 inches, weight – 215 pounds (97 Kg), Hair colour – blond or Strawberry etc. After his release, Trump said that whatever has happened today is a sort of mockery of justice.
Dozens of Trump’s supporters displayed banners and American flag, when he reached the jail. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a far-right Congresswoman from Georgia and staunch supporter of Trump was one among them.
Trump is facing 13 different cases in Georgia. He is one of the 18 accused in the case of an attempt to revert Georgia 2020 elections, conspiracy etc.
