The National Centre for Seismology pinned the epicentre of the earthquake to Nepal.

The earthquake was felt in Delhi, Noida and other parts of the (NCR) National Capital Region. There were no immediate reports of damage or casualty. The tremors lasted nearly one minute and happened around 2.50pm.

Panicked residents and office-goers were seen rushing onto the street in the national capital following the tremors.
