New Delhi, 7 September : The G-20 summit will provide many better avenues and opportunities for Indian business. Traders across the country will be eagerly waiting for the decisions to be taken at the summit. The National General Secretary of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAT), Praveen Khandelwal, said this on Thursday. Khandelwal said in a statement issued here that the capital, Delhi, is ready to host the G-20 summit. He said that we expect some strategic decisions on financial inclusion, adoption of digital technology, and reform of taxation policies, which will have a significant impact on the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (SME) businesses not only in India but across the globe. Khandelwal said that in order to study various decisions taken during the G-20 summit, to understand them, and to spread them among the business community of India, CAIT, under its national president B.K., has formed a committee under the leadership of C. Bhartia. Other members included in this committee include Brijmohan Agarwal Odisha, Subhash Agarwal Kolkata, Amar Parwani Raipur, Pankaj Arora Kanpur, Shankar Thakkar Mumbai, Dhairysheel Patil Maharashtra, Sumit Agarwal Delhi, Prakash Baid Assam, and S. S. Manoj, who is from Kerala. The CAT General Secretary said that as a result of the deliberations at the G-20 Summit, traders have been encouraged to increase export trade related to FMCG products, computers and their peripherals, communication equipment, toys, consumer durables, Indian handicrafts, and the hospitality services sector. Apart from this, there is also a possibility of an increase in the export trade of equipment, gems and jewellery, furnishing items, electronic items, etc.
