Mumbai, 14 September : Chief Minister Eknath Shinde reached Jalna in the morning and met Manoj Jarange, who was on hunger strike, and reiterated the commitment of the state government to provide Maratha reservations. After the assurance of the Chief Minister, Manoj Jarange has withdrawn his agitation.
Chief Minister’s Assurance on the Maratha Reservation Movement
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shinde said that it is the responsibility of the government to provide reservations to the Maratha community. The government is working in this direction. After this assurance from the Chief Minister, Manoj Jarange, who was on a hunger strike for the last 17 days for the Maratha reservation in Antarwali Sarati village of Jalna district, has withdrawn his agitation.
On this occasion, Manoj Jarange said that he will not rest until the Maratha community gets a reservation. He is confident that the Maratha community will definitely get a reservation. That is why they have withdrawn their agitation, having faith in the Chief Minister. Manoj Jarange is demanding to give the Kunbi certificate to all the people of the Maratha community.
