Flowers are nature’s greatest gift to humanity. Nature and human life share an inseparable bond. In Indian culture, flowers hold immense significance and remain associated with human life from birth to death, adding colour and fragrance to everyday living. These remarks were made by Lok Sabha MP Dr Mahesh Sharma while inaugurating the Flower Exhibition organised by the Greater Noida Authority at Samrat Mihir Bhoj Park (City Park) on Thursday as the Chief Guest.
The Flower Exhibition will continue till 01 March. Entry to the exhibition and vehicle parking have been made free for visitors. The inauguration ceremony was attended by BJP District President Abhishek Sharma, In-charge Pramod Gupta, Greater Noida Authority ACEO Soumya Srivastava, ACEO Srilakshmi VS, and ACEO Sumit Yadav, along with other officials.

Dr Mahesh Sharma stated that the identity of any city is not defined merely by bricks and stones but by its cultural and social fabric. He said events such as flower exhibitions make a city vibrant and lively. He appealed to residents of the district to visit the City Park exhibition with their families, neighbours, and friends and enjoy the colourful and fragrant displays.
The MP appreciated the efforts of Greater Noida Authority CEO NG Ravi Kumar, along with all ACEOs and the entire team, for successfully organising the exhibition. He remarked that Greater Noida was once burdened with debt, but under the guidance of CEO NG Ravi Kumar, the Authority’s team worked diligently and freed it from financial liabilities. He added that development activities are now progressing at a rapid pace.
Dr Mahesh Sharma also inaugurated the cultural programmes at the exhibition venue by lighting the ceremonial lamp. School students presented a Saraswati Vandana during the event. Among those present were BJP Women District President Rajni, Greater Noida Authority Principal General Manager Sandeep Chandra, General Manager AK Singh, OSD Abhishek Pathak, OSD Girish Kumar Jha, DGM SK Jain, Senior Manager Ajit Bhai Patel, Deputy Director Horticulture Natholi Singh, Assistant Director Buddh Vilas, and other officials and dignitaries.

Drone Show, Operation Sindoor and Floral Structures Become Major Attractions
For the first time, a drone show was organised at the Greater Noida Flower Exhibition, leaving visitors astonished. The night sky lit up with coordinated drone formations depicting the map of India, the Ayodhya Temple, and the image of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The visual display drew significant appreciation and applause from the audience.
A floral installation based on the theme of Operation Sindoor emerged as a major attraction at the exhibition. Dr Mahesh Sharma, who attended the inauguration, praised the creativity behind the display and captured photographs of it on his mobile phone as a keepsake. Visitors have been enthusiastically taking pictures alongside the themed installations.
Floral sculptures including a tiger crafted entirely from flowers and a heart shape created using capsicum have captivated attendees. The national bird peacock and several other decorative floral structures are also drawing large crowds and serving as key highlights of the exhibition.
The Flower Exhibition at City Park continues to attract residents and visitors, offering a vibrant blend of horticultural artistry, cultural performances, shopping stalls, and food facilities. With free entry and parking arrangements, the event provides a festive and family-friendly atmosphere for all age groups.
The Greater Noida Authority has ensured smooth arrangements for visitors, making the exhibition accessible and convenient. The ongoing event reflects the Authority’s efforts to promote environmental awareness, cultural engagement, and community participation through public initiatives that celebrate nature and creativity.
