Noida: The Institute of Management Studies (IMS), Noida, organized a BBA Haat at its Sector-62 campus, providing management students with a practical platform to apply classroom knowledge in real-world business scenarios. The event, conducted by the BBA department, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who set up around 40 stalls and demonstrated their entrepreneurial skills, creativity, and management capabilities through diverse products, services, and interactive activities.
The initiative was designed to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical exposure, allowing students to experience firsthand the challenges and dynamics of operating a business. The BBA Haat transformed the campus into a vibrant marketplace environment, where students conceptualized business ideas, managed stall operations, interacted with customers, and handled finances, thereby gaining valuable insight into entrepreneurship and management practices.
A wide variety of stalls were set up by students, offering food items, fashion and beauty products, music-based entertainment, recreational games, and home décor items creatively made from recycled materials. These stalls attracted significant attention from fellow students, faculty members, and visitors, creating an energetic and engaging atmosphere throughout the campus. The event provided students with an opportunity to apply marketing strategies, customer engagement techniques, and sales planning in a live environment, strengthening their confidence and practical understanding of business operations.

Rajeev Kumar Gupta, President of IMS Noida, appreciated the students’ efforts and emphasized the importance of experiential learning in modern management education. He stated that in today’s highly competitive environment, theoretical knowledge alone is not sufficient, and practical exposure plays an equally critical role in shaping capable professionals. He noted that initiatives such as the BBA Haat help students understand real-world market dynamics, analyze consumer behavior, and learn the fundamentals of financial planning and operational management.
Gupta further highlighted that such experiential learning programs prepare students for real industry challenges by encouraging innovation, independent thinking, and problem-solving skills. He added that when students engage in simulated business activities, they gain a deeper understanding of entrepreneurship, risk assessment, and customer expectations, which are essential components of professional success in the business and corporate sectors.
During the event, senior academic leaders and faculty members visited the stalls and interacted with participating students to observe their work and encourage their entrepreneurial initiatives. Vikas Dhawan, Director General of IMS Noida, commended the students for their creativity and organizational abilities. He stated that programs like the BBA Haat play a significant role in developing leadership qualities, teamwork, financial awareness, and communication skills among students, all of which are crucial for building successful careers in management and entrepreneurship.

Dhawan also emphasized that hands-on learning opportunities enable students to develop confidence and adaptability, helping them transition more effectively from academic environments to professional roles. J. K. Sharma, Advisor at IMS Noida, described the event as a powerful platform for students to showcase their talent, creativity, and entrepreneurial mindset. Ramesh Kumar, Head of the BBA Department, explained that the main aim of the event was to familiarize students with marketing techniques and business practices in a creative and practical manner.
