Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the India ASEAN Summit (Jakarta) today. During this, he said in his opening statement that the cooperation between India and ASEAN has entered the fourth decade. Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi said that the Prime Minister had detailed discussions with the leaders of ASEAN partner countries. Its purpose was to strengthen India-ASEAN relations and to consider how cooperation can be taken forward in the future. The Prime Minister once again reiterated that ASEAN is at the heart of India’s Act East Policy.
The 21st Century : Asia’s Era of Progress and Cooperation between India and the AESIAN region
The Prime Minister said that the 21st century is the century of Asia. In such a situation, it is necessary that the construction of the post-COVID world be based on rules, and efforts should be made for human welfare. We all have a common interest in the progress of a free and open Indian Pacific and in raising the voice of the Global South.
