Chandigarh, 01 September: There is good news for those going abroad from Punjab. Malaysia Airlines has decided to start flights from Amritsar in Punjab. This flight will fly to Kuala Lumpur. Till now Malaysia Airlines was flying only from New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai.
Fly Amritsar Initiative Secretary Yogesh Kamra said on Friday that Malaysia Airlines will fly between the two cities twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays from November 8. Kamra said that as of now Batik Air is flying three days a week. Air Asia X will start flying four days a week from September 3.
This Malaysia Airlines flight will fly from Kuala Lumpur to Amritsar Airport at 6.50 pm Malaysia time. This aircraft will fly to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at 11.25 pm Indian time after a stop of about 4 and a half hours. This journey between the two countries will be of 5.35 hours. Airlines have started booking it on their website.
