Sriganganagar, 6 September (HS): Nepal’s former Vice President Parmanand Jha said on Wednesday that the relationship between the two countries has strengthened under the Modi government, as Modi has not banned any items from Nepal. Jha said about Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he is a good friend of Nepal and Nepalese. India is a good neighbour of Nepal, and Nepal is dependent on India for many needs. Jha said this while talking to reporters at Circuit House.
Regarding the India tour, Jha said that he comes to India whenever he feels like it. I have good relations with the office bearers of the Bharat Nepal International Harmony Forum, and I am also associated with this platform. Talking about the Modi era, he said that he had met the Prime Minister of India several times when he was the Vice President. Modi’s attitude has always been positive towards Nepal. He considers it good. On the question of whether India-Nepal relations have been affected due to China, Jha said that India-Nepal has its own relations and Nepal-China has its own relations.
BJP leader Rajat Swami said that Parmanand Jha has come to Sriganganagar today to participate in the family programme of petrol pump businessman Subhash Swami. There will be a felicitation ceremony at Swami Samaj Sabha near Central Bus Stand at 5 p.m.
