30 December/MLA Nitish Rane denied bail

Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Nitesh Rane has been denied anticipatory bail by Sindhudurg District Court. Rane has been alleged to have attacked Santosh Parab, in connection with a Co-operative Bank elections.
Nitesh Rane was named by a person arrested in this connection.
Nitesh is son of union Minister Narayan Rane. Narayan Rane had already spoke about possibility of arrest of Nitin Rane in this connection.
Nitish Rane is stated to be moving the High Court in this connection.
Meanwhile Narayan Rane, who had stated that he knew the whereabouts of Nitish, but would not divulge the information, has been issued notice by the police for not co-operating with the police.
