Noida, March 3, 2026:

In view of the upcoming Holi festival, the Noida Authority has announced special arrangements to ensure uninterrupted water supply across the city. The Water Department of the Noida Authority will provide additional water supply on March 4, 2026, to facilitate residents during the celebrations.

According to an official press note issued by the authority regular water supply is provided every day in the Noida Authority area during morning and evening hours. However, considering the increased water demand during Holi, the department has decided to introduce an extra supply window in the afternoon.

On March 4, 2026, water will be supplied not only during the usual morning and evening hours but also between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM. This additional supply is aimed at ensuring that residents do not face inconvenience while celebrating the festival.

Holi, known as the festival of colors, is widely celebrated across Noida with enthusiasm and large community participation. During the festival, water usage increases significantly due to traditional practices such as playing with colors, cleaning homes, and post-celebration washing. Recognizing this surge in demand, the Noida Authority has taken proactive steps to manage supply efficiently.

Officials stated that the decision was made to prevent any disruption in daily life and festival activities. The move is expected to provide relief to households, housing societies, and commercial establishments across the city.

The Noida Authority has consistently maintained regular water distribution in its jurisdiction. Daily supply during morning and evening hours ensures basic household requirements are met. However, festivals like Holi require additional planning due to the temporary spike in consumption levels.

By arranging a special two-hour afternoon supply window, the Water Department aims to maintain adequate water pressure and availability throughout the day. Authorities have emphasized that the arrangement is specifically for March 4, 2026, keeping in mind the Holi celebrations.

Residents have been advised to use water responsibly and avoid unnecessary wastage during the festival. While additional supply is being arranged, conservation remains an important priority for the administration.

The Noida Authority area includes multiple residential sectors, group housing societies, and commercial complexes. Ensuring stable water distribution during festivals is considered essential for maintaining public convenience and civic order.

The press note highlighted that the initiative has been undertaken to ensure that citizens do not face difficulties on the festival day. By providing water in the afternoon in addition to the regular schedule, the administration aims to support smooth and hassle-free celebrations.

Water supply management during peak demand periods requires careful coordination between supply stations and distribution networks. The Water Department has reportedly made necessary operational adjustments to accommodate the extended supply timing.

No further changes in the water schedule have been announced beyond March 4. The standard morning and evening water supply system will continue as usual before and after the festival.

The Noida Authority has urged residents to cooperate with the administration and make optimal use of the additional water supply provided for Holi. Authorities believe that with proper planning and public cooperation, the festival can be celebrated without inconvenience related to water availability.

The announcement reflects the administration’s focus on citizen-centric governance and preparedness during major public events. By anticipating increased consumption and responding in advance, the authority aims to minimize complaints and ensure a smooth civic experience.

Residents across Noida are expected to benefit from the extended water supply window, allowing them to prepare for and enjoy the festival without disruption.

Further updates, if any, will be communicated through official channels.
