Seoul, 12 Sep : The supreme leader of North Korea Kim Jong-un reached Russia on Tuesday to meet President Vladimir Putin, the media has widely reported.

North Korean Leader Kim Jong-un Visits Russia for Talks With Putin

At a press briefing by South Korea Military, an official said that Kim will hold a one-to-one meeting with Putin. A special train left North Korea’s capital city of Pyongyang on Sunday for Russia. Several military officials travelled on the special train, which reached Russia on Tuesday early morning.

A US official claimed that Putin may seek arms from North Korea to support its war against Ukraine.

North Korean Foreign Affairs Minister Choe Sun Hui, People’s Army Marshal Ri Pyong Chol, and Pak Jong Chon, and other senior officers are part of the delegation visiting Russia. Putin and Kim are likely to meet in Vladivostok, where both met earlier in 2019. This is Kim’s first foreign tour after the Covid-19 pandemic.
