Lahore, 28 Aug : Pakistan Army had to be pressed into the rescue operations in Punjab province of Pakistan. Punjab’s capital Lahore and Bahawalpur regions are flooded due to heavy rains and overflowing rivers.
According to Pakistan Radio and the media reports, Satluj River is overflowing. Several villages are under water causing damage to walls of many houses. Agricultural crops in the region was also swept away. Although the situation is under control, the people are under threat of getting isolated due to floods.
