New Delhi, September 9: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday extended grief over the loss of life and property due to earthquake in Morocco.

In a post on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), Prime Minister Modi said that India is with Morocco in this hour of grief and the country ready to offer all possible assistance to Morocco in their difficult times.
“Extremely pained by the loss of lives due to an earthquake in Morocco. In this tragic hour, my thoughts are with the people of Morocco. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. May the injured recover at the earliest. India is ready to offer all possible assistance to Morocco in this difficult time,” PM Modi said.
Furthermore, addressing a session at G20 Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi again reiterated his sympathy for the victims of the Morocco earthquake.
“We pray that all injured recover at the earliest. India is ready to offer all possible assistance to Morocco in this difficult time,” PM Modi said.
Tragic Disaster in Morocco: 296 Lives Lost in Earthquake
Additionally, the devastating earthquake that hit Morocco late on Friday claimed at least 296 lives and left scores injured. According to the US Geological Survey, a preliminary 6.8 magnitude earthquake that hit the Ighil area of the High Atlas region at 11:11 pm, caused wide-spread destruction, including the collapse of buildings and forcing people to flee their homes.
