New Delhi, 13 September: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to make a brief visit to the poll-bound states of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh on September 14.
During his visit, PM Modi will inaugurate several development projects worth billions of rupees in both states.
According to an official release from the Prime Minister’s Office, PM Modi will first arrive in Bina, Madhya Pradesh, at around 11:15 AM. There, he will lay the foundation stone for projects worth more than Rs. 50,700 crores, including a Petrochemical Complex at Bina Refinery and ten new industrial projects across the state.
Following his visit to Madhya Pradesh, PM Modi will travel to Raigarh in Chhattisgarh, where he will dedicate additional projects worth billions of rupees to the nation. Notably, these projects will focus on improving connectivity across the country, with the inauguration of important rail sector projects. The official release from the PMO stated that at approximately 3:15 PM, PM Modi will reach Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, where he will dedicate significant rail sector projects worth Rs. 6,350 crores to the nation.
PM Modi’s Visit to Madhya Pradesh:
During his extensive state visit, PM Modi will not only inaugurate the state-of-the-art Petrochemical Complex but also lay the foundation stones for ten other projects, including the ‘Power and Renewable Energy Manufacturing Zone’ in Narmadapuram district (developed at a cost of over Rs. 460 crore), two IT parks in Indore (constructed at a cost of approximately Rs. 550 crore), a Mega Industrial Park in Ratlam (built at a cost of over Rs. 460 crore), and six new industrial areas across Madhya Pradesh in Shajapur, Guna, Mauganj, Agar Malwa, Narmadapuram, and Maksi, with a cumulative cost of about Rs. 310 crore.
Importantly, all these development projects will boost employment opportunities across the state.
PM Modi’s Visit to Chhattisgarh:
In addition to dedicating rail infrastructure projects, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for 50-bed ‘critical care blocks’ in nine districts of Chhattisgarh. These blocks will be constructed under the Pradhan Mantri – Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) in Durg, Kondagaon, Rajnandgaon, Gariaband, Jashpur, Surajpur, Surguja, Bastar, and Raigarh Districts, at a total cost exceeding Rs. 210 crore.
Furthermore, with the aim of addressing health issues related to sickle cell disease, particularly among the tribal population, Prime Minister Modi will distribute one lakh sickle cell counseling cards to the screened population.
