New Delhi, 31 August : President Droupadi Murmu reaching today (Thursday) with daughter Itishree on her two-day visit to Chhattisgarh. She will attend the convocation ceremony organized at Guru Ghasidas Central University in Bilaspur on Friday.
According to the information received from the District Administration Raipur, the President will arrive at Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur at 11.05 am. Where Governor Vishwabhushan Harichandan, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Mayor Ejaz Dhebar will lead them. Along with this, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, DGP Ashok Juneja, Raipur Collector Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, SSP Prashant Aggarwal will welcome him.
From the airport, President Murmu will directly reach Shanti Sarovar Ashram and launch the theme of ‘Year of Positive Change’. In the afternoon, she will attend the banquet organized by Brahma Kumari Prajapita at Raj Bhavan. In Raipur, she will also visit Mahant Ghasidas Museum and will stay for the night at Raj Bhavan. On the morning of the second day i.e. 01 September, she will attend the convocation ceremony organized at Guru Ghasidas Central University in Bilaspur.
During the President’s stay, roads from Raipur Airport to VIP Road, Telibandha, Shankar Nagar, Gayatri Nagar, Anupam Nagar to Saddu and Raj Bhavan will remain closed for half an hour at different times. The police have diverted the traffic of these roads. Elaborate security arrangements have been made.
