Mumbai, 5 September (HS): Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar said that the problems of all sections can be solved by increasing the reservation limit. The state government should make efforts for this in collaboration with the Centre. In view of the dire situation due to the lack of rain in Marathwada, Sharad Pawar suggested the government stop revenue collection in the Marathwada region.
Sharad Pawar told journalists in Jalgaon on Tuesday that the Maratha community has been protesting for many years for the Maratha reservation. Not only this, but this matter is pending in court. Pawar said that if the reservation limit is increased, the problems of all sections will be solved. Some people are demanding reservations for the Maratha community through the OBC quota. If this is done, injustice will be done to the OBC community.
Sharad Pawar said that due to the lack of rain, there is a worrying situation here. A situation of double sowing has arisen in many places. The drinking water system is poor in many villages. The overall picture is worrying. On one side, there is a drought situation; on the other, there is a power shortage. Not only this, but crop insurance companies are becoming arbitrary. Even though the drought has not been declared yet, preparations for it will have to be made from now on. Sharad Pawar said that the Chief Minister should pay special attention to the supply of animal fodder along with the supply of drinking water in Marathwada.
