Jaipur or Pratapgarh, 2 September : Acting on Saturday morning, the police arrested seven accused, including her husband, in the case of a tribal woman being paraded naked in the Dhariyavad police station area under Pratapgarh district of Rajasthan. In this case, a minor has also been arrested by the police. It was revealed in the police information that the accused were also injured while trying to escape. All seven arrested accused were brought to Pratapgarh District Hospital, where they are being treated under police supervision.
DGP Umesh Mishra said that after the video of this case went viral on social media, a case has been registered at Dhariyavad police station under relevant sections of the IPC, Women’s Indecent Control Act, and IT Act. The accused have been named, and an investigation has started. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, on the instructions of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Additional Director General of Police Dinesh MN, Divisional Commissioner Dhariyavad, IG Banswara Range S Parimala, Collector Inderjit Yadav, and SP Amit Kumar, they reached the spot and inspected it. After naming the accused, 30 teams were formed to arrest them. The formed team raided all the possible places of the accused to arrest them. Taking prompt action, within 12 hours the police detained the main accused, Kanha son of Lalia, Nathu son of Nagji Meena, Venia son of Bhera resident of Pahad Lower Kota, and a child molester, and arrested seven accused, Pintu son of Bheriya, Khetiya son of Lambiya Meena, Moti Lal son of Rama Meena, Punia son of Babariya Meena, Kesara son of Maneng Meena, Suraj son of Kesara, and Netiya son of Panchiya resident of Pahada Lower Kota police station Dhariyavad.
