Lahore, 09 Aug : Six Railway officials in Pakistan have been suspended in connection with the Hazara Express train accident on Sunday. Thirty passengers died as ten bogies of the train derailed near Nawabshah in Sindh province. The Railway officers were suspended for dereliction of duty.
The Rain Ministry said that the officers failed to change the engine of the train, despite noticing a technical snag. The Rail Minister informed the National Assembly that two out of 12 wheels of the locomotive jammed. Instead of changing the engine, the officers allowed the engine to move after minor repairs.
