Two Chinese gold smugglers possessing Indian Aadhar Card held in Nepal

Kathmandu, 21 Aug : Two of the Chinese nations held in Nepal in connection with gold smuggling hold Indian Aadhar Card. Recently 12 Chinese nationals were held for smuggling about one quintal of gold. In another previous case, some Chinese people had Indian passports.

Police Spokesperson DIG Kuber Kadayat said that gold smuggling has nexus in three countries. Indian Aadhar Card was seized from the two Chinese arrested on Thursday. All the accused held Nepal citizenship certificates. Nepal’s Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has informed the Indian embassy about the findings. The purity of the seized gold is of 2 caret. It has been deposited with Nepal National Bank.
