Peshawar, 11 Sept (HS): A vehicle belonging to Pakistan’s Frontier Constabulary was attacked by a terrorist group, injuring nine people including five military officers. One of the injured succumbed to the injuries in the hospital. Tahrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for the attack.
According to the media reports the vehicle was attacked near Prime Hospital Complex on Warsak Road of Peshawar. A powerful blast was heard after the attack, said Superintendent of Police of Warsak Mohammad Arshad Khan. The injured were shifted to a hospital. The vehicle was attacked using IED (Improvised Explosive Device). The bomb defusal squad reached the spot. The details of the explosion are awaited. Police and Military are enquiring into the incident.
