Women’s T20 World Cup to begin in South Africa from Feb 10

Cape Town (South Africa), 03 February : All three grounds have been prepared in view of the Women’s T20 World Cup-2023 starting here from February 10. The matches will be played at Newlands Ground in Cape Town, Boland Park in Paarl and St George’s Park in Port Elizabeth.

A total of 10 teams will participate in it. A total of 23 matches will be played in this tournament which will run till 26 February. In the year 2020, the Indian team reached the final but had to face a crushing defeat in the final against Australia. This time the Indian team is eyeing winning the title for the first time.

Apart from hosting South Africa, teams from Australia, India, England, West Indies, New Zealand, Ireland, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan will participate in the Women’s T20 World Cup. The first match will be played between hosts South Africa and Sri Lanka in Cape Town on February 10.

The teams participating in the tournament are divided into two groups. Australia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and New Zealand along with South Africa in Group-A and England, Ireland, Pakistan and West Indies along with India in Group B. The first match of the Indian team will be against Pakistan on February 12 in Cape Town.
