Johannesburg, 24 Aug: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was congratulated by representatives of a large number of countries for the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon. Modi is attending the BRICS Summit in South Africa. He thanked all during his address during the summit.
Chandrayaan-3 made a soft landing on the South Pole of the Moon on Wednesday. India became the first nation to land on the South Pole of the Moon. Modi saw live streaming of the landing from Johannesburg and congratulated the ISRO chief and scientists involved in the mission. Most of the leaders personally congratulated Modi during the summit. He also congratulated the Indian-African people who enthusiastically watched the Chandrayaan-3 landing on television.
