New Delhi, September 1 : Indian Administrative Service officer Vumlunmang Wualnam took charge as Secretary of the union Civil Aviation Ministry on Friday. Vumlunmang has taken over the charge in place of Rajeev Bansal, who retired on August 31.
Vulnam is a 1992 batch Indian Administrative Service officer of the Manipur cadre. He has served in many important posts, including Additional Secretary in the union Finance Ministry, Joint Secretary in the Home Ministry, and Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Finance and Company Affairs. He has also held several key positions in the government of Manipur, including Commissioner and Director of Transport in the Department of Health and Family Welfare. He has also held the position of advisor to the Executive Director at the World Bank.
